I am a huge fan of live music and the vintage silver screen, so you better believe I was ecstatic to photograph this Old Hollywood wedding at Bimbo’s 365 Club for Erica + Marc. I’ve only ever been at this venue to catch live shows up until this point, so I was so curious to see how this venue would transform from live music venue to wedding venue. Naturally, Erica + Marc also both music lovers (the groom Marc is also in a band!), so the venue was a perfect match.
Nestled in the heart of San Francisco in Russian Hill and blocks from Fisherman’s Wharf, Bimbo’s 365 Club offers a timeless and enchanting backdrop for your special day. With its iconic Art Deco architecture, glamorous ambiance, and versatile event spaces, Bimbo’s sets the stage for unforgettable weddings! The ceremony and reception both took place in the main ballroom, where the couple exchanged “I Do’s” on stage. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any wedding ceremony more iconic!
While cocktail hour took place in the lobby and the main bar, the amazing staff at Bimbo’s 365 transformed the main room into a beautifully set reception space! I was living for the old Hollywood vibes, moody lighting & especially the vinyl only DJ set by Ceremony DJs, which really was the cherry on top of this cake of a wedding. Speaking of cakes, the couple opted for a playful donut cake courtesy of Bob’s Donuts, which is pretty much an SF institution. Overall, it was one of the most unique weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure photograph!
