Michelle and Isaiah had such a lovely wedding day! The day started off at Michelle’s childhood home in San Francisco for an intimate Chinese tea ceremony with immediate families and their wedding party before the main event, which was their wedding at Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland. 🪐

The Chinese tea ceremony is a deeply meaningful tradition in weddings, symbolizing respect for elders and gratitude towards family. Through the act of offering and receiving tea, couples express appreciation for parental guidance and support. It’s a beautiful blending of cultures, uniting families and symbolizing love and unity!

Once we arrived at Chabot Space & Science Center, we were able to get some fun wedding party photos and couple’s portraits. Their wedding crew was so much fun- I was so happy they were down to help me be extra creative with some of the shots. 🏃‍♂️

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Oakland hills, Chabot Space & Science Center offers a celestial venue for your special day. With its unique blend of science and wonder, couples can exchange vows in a unique environment, surrounded by fascinating exhibits and breathtaking views of the Bay Area. Michelle and Isaiah even had the opportunity to check out this super cool enormous telescope, and the staff was so knowledgable in filling them in on all the fun facts. Unfortunately they weren’t able to actually look through it because of the humidity that night, but at least got some insight as to how it works as well as its history.

Michelle’s holographic dress from KS Garner was so cool and unique- it really matched the vibe of their wedding! They had so many cute details, which allowed their personalities to shine through. From their custom wedding invitation designs that were done through Canva to the adorable Disney themed table names. But I was extra impressed with the DIY floral arrangements they put together themselves from Trader Joe’s 🤯 They did SUCH an amazing job and looked just like they ordered from a professional florist. It’s truly a great option for folks getting married and still want beautiful florals but don’t mind a little DIY project to save some money!
